The front opening ends at the waist, allowing the skirted hem to wing open dramatically. While stunning in solid fabrics, the design is especially effective in stripes, which emphasize the dramatic cut; one original version omitted the front trim entirely, proving the silhouette is strong enough to stand on its own.
