PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BUYING. You are buying a DIGITAL (PDF) crochet pattern and NOT a PAPER PATTERN. Since this regards a digital file, etsy sends the patterns automatically upon settling payment – that means when you pay, the file is immediately delivered to you and you can find it in your purchase section. Due to the nature of the transaction, we consider all sales final. In line with the aforementioned - digital crochet patterns cannot be refunded or changed for other patterns.
ALL my patterns are written in ENGLISH using AMERICAN CROCHET TERMINOLOGY.
This listing is for a PDF pattern for crocheted owl blanket and not actual blanket
The tutorial will guide you in making this heirloom blanket for your loved ones.
You will receive a PDF file containing elaborate photo - tutorial with about 10 pages filled with lots of photos. The photos accompanied by elaborate instructions make this tutorial quite comprehensible; nevertheless if you have any trouble with the pattern feel free to email me with your questions.
Skill level: easy BUT PLEASE DO NOT BUY IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER.
Yarn and hook: for this project I wanted to use and combine as many color combinations I could, so I used around 30 skeins of different colors (100 grams /skein) but you can see from the photo that it doesn’t take much yarn if you mix the colors and you will not actually use a whole skein if you make a colorful blanket. This is also a fantastic project to use your leftover yarn for.
Because I wanted the border to be white I used about 7 skeins of white yarn. Please take this into consideration when buying yarn. The yarn I used is sport (acrylic) and I used a 3mm hook (US#5). For more info on yarn please check this link: (http://www.craftyarncouncil.com/?q=weight.html)
Other: tapestry needle for weaving the ends.
Used terms: chain (ch), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), 2 (3/4) dc puff stitch, treble (tr), tr puff, 3ch picot
Size of a finished bordered square: 13 x 13 cm or 5.1 x 5.1”
Total size of blanket: 80 x 80 cm or 31.5” x 31.5”
