DIY Dragon & Dinosaur Sewing Pattern: Soft Fabric Plushie Tutorial (PDF Pattern in English)

This is a digital and downloadable PDF file containing a sewing pattern and instructions in English to make a soft stuffed animal. With a few small changes, you can make a dragon or a dinosaur (T-Rex) from the same set of patterns. (This is a digital download item. No physical item will be shipped to you upon purchase.)

The stuffed animal is approximately 28 cm (11") long and 20 cm (8") wide when lying flat. When sitting, the dragon is approximately 17 cm (6 3/4") from the tip of the horns to its bottom, and the dinosaur 14 cm (5 1/2"). If you like, you can also rescale the patterns when printing to make other sizes!

This pattern makes a really soft and cuddly plush. The finished dragon / dinosaur makes a lovely play companion for a child, but also an adorable addition to your home decor. (Note: If you are planning on giving your handmade stuffed animal to a child, please first read the Safety Consideration section below.)

⚙️ This project requires some experience with the sewing machine, as well as some basic hand-sewing skills. (But of course, you can make the stuffed animal entirely by hand if you prefer to do so.)

This item comes in two PDF files (each consisting of 37 pages and about 12 MB in size). Their contents are the same, but one file is designed for US Letter size paper, and the other for A4. Each file consists of:
1. Detailed and easy-to-follow instructions in English with step-by-step photos,
2. A guide to tracing patterns,
3. A stitch glossary, and
4. Simple and clearly marked patterns.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD YOUR SEWING PATTERN:

Upon purchasing one of my digital sewing patterns, you will receive a download notification email from Etsy (transaction@etsy.com) containing links to the downloads. You can also access your digital purchases by signing in to your account on Etsy.com (NOT the Etsy app!).

PDFs are compatible with various operating systems, including Windows, Mac, and Linux. They can also be viewed on Android and iOS devices. To view these digital documents, please use a trusted PDF reader that is constantly updated, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or later, to protect yourself from possible security risks. PDFs can also be accessed through built-in PDF viewers of many popular web browsers, such as Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and Edge.

Each of my sewing patterns comes in two versions, one for US Letter size paper and another for A4 size paper. Please select the appropriate paper size version of the file (US Letter or A4) for your printer. Once downloaded, the instructions can be viewed either on screen or printed out on printer paper, but please print out the sewing pattern pages at 100% scale.
