It has original patterns, fashion plates, and images from Godey's Lady's Book, Peterson's Magazine, Der Bazar, La Mode, The American Agriculturalist, and Eleonore Riego de la Branchardiere. There are 11 patterns that have been translated into modern terms, so that you can jump in and create. (8 Knit, 1 Tunisian Crochet, 1 Quilted, and 1 Sewn Fichu) Patterns have sizing notes.

This outfit is very beautiful.
The patterns are a little bit wordy in some cases, but it is a great place to start!
Looks like a well-researched book. Looking forward to making a couple of the projects
Wonderful collection of patterns I found some phrasing a little hard to understand but I'm not entirely sure whether that's the parents fault or because I am beginner knitter. I would very much recommend this to anybody who would like to get into historical knitting.
