Many of our fabrics are machine wash and dry safe, but not all of them. Please contact us if you need specific details. We suggest cold water and mild detergent.

Can I return an item?

Sometimes, it depends. We do not accept returns on used items, books, and packages that have been opened and handled, such as sewing needles. If you want to discuss a return, please contact us here on Etsy and we'll see what we can do.

Where do you get your items?

Nearly everything we sell is imported from Japan to our shop in the USA. We work directly with Japanese companies large and small to bring you unique and beautiful items, and we love working with small artisan producers in Tokyo, Kyoto, and other cities.

USPS lost my package! What do I do?

Please contact us with your concern and we will file a missing package report with USPS on your behalf. It takes time to locate lost packages, so please understand that while we are doing our best, we cannot find your package and get it to you right away. We have to work with the system just like everybody else. And that takes time!

Gift wrapping and packaging

We are currently working to phase out our non-recyclable packaging one step at a time. Many of our products come to us from Japan already wrapped in plastic, but we are working with some companies to reduce the plastic packaging on products we order from them. It's a gradual process.

100% cotton, made in Japan for Kobayashi. The fabric has a slightly rough canvas-type feel to it, perfect for interior home projects, aprons, bags, and light jackets.

Tariffed - Why is the pricing on this fabric slightly different from others of the same style: The newly enacted tariffs increase the costs of bringing in this fabric from Japan. We are using the passthrough model, increasing the price by only what we are being charged.

**FAT QUARTER - approximately 18" x 22" (46 cm x 54 cm)

For continuous yardage choose the "quarter yard" option and quantity needed.
