Third Party insurer requires Signature in certain cases, so please do not ask that we ship without Signature as this creates a risk we are not willing to take.

• We accept returns. Per our policies, contact us within 14 days of delivery. Return shipping with insurance and tracking is at your expense. We process refunds once the item is returned in the same condition received. • If your item arrives damaged, photograph it with packaging so we may make a claim. • Returning an item is no fun; contact us before buying to ask questions or request additional photos. We can work with you on a payment plan with immediate down payment up to two months for full payment. Note that layaways past due over 30 days go into default. We do NOT do reserves or holds. Like any business, we use sales proceeds to keep the shop running. We truly can't afford to take items off the market. But even if you have some funds with which to make a down payment, we can do layaway with you. Just convo to say you'd like to do a layaway, and we'll work with you on that route instead of a Hold or Reserve.

Can you tell me SOLD prices?

We get correspondance almost daily asking how much certain items are worth or what the price was of items that have sold, and we can no longer respond to these messages.

This sterling silver and black onyx concho belt was purchased in the 1980s and features black onyx set in oval conchos on a relatively skinny--1" wide--black leather belt. The piece carries a "NAVAJO" stamp, which almost looks like the last name "Nava" (although we can see the remnants of a "J" following the last "A") and it has the artist's hallmark J.N., which I've not been able to identify. The piece is classic from that era, when the domed oval shape was found in earrings as well. There are a total of 14 conchos, plus the oval belt buckle makes 15 altogether. The belt was worn and has two holes punched in the leather, but there is extra leather, so the belt is somewhat adjustable to a bigger size if needed. The crowded conchos also would lend themselves to being spread out slightly more.

The leather belt measures 1" wide, as mentioned, and measuring from the tip of the belt buckle to the tip of the leather where it ends, it is 41-3/4" long, but measure from the tip of the belt buckle to the first hole, it is would fit a 34" waist, and slightly bigger to the second hole. There is an additional "tail" of just under 7", where additional holes could be punched for a slightly larger waist size. The conchos, including the buckle, measure about 2" wide by 1-3/8" tall. Total weight, including belt, is 315g, which is substantial heft. The conchos are all held onto the belt via copper backs, which have been bent slightly so they don't move around easily on the belt, although one simply need lift the backing a wee bit to loosen and re-space. Concho belts often are worn on the hips, although this belt might fit through not-too-tight pants loops.
