Highlights
Vintage Oswald the Rabbit plate and cup, both marked Santone, Warwick China 1946 on the bottom. Oswald was an early (1920s) Disney creation, later taken over by Walter Lantz. This set shows the intrepid Oswald ice skating, with other characters around rim or sides, including Oswald’s dog Elmer, Lantz creations Meany & Moe, and Humpty Dumpty. The plate has utensil scratches and wear to Oswald (name and a bit on the rabbit, as well as specks of wear on the green strip around plate and cup rim. The plate is about 7-1/4” across. The mug is 2-3/4” high.
