Mary Blair's iconic Grand Canyon Concourse Mural — the towering 90-foot ceramic tile masterpiece that has graced the lobby of Disney's Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World since 1971. This monumental work celebrates the imagery and spirit of the American Southwest through Mary Blair's unmistakable mid-century lens: a soaring stepped mountain composition built from rich vertical bands of sienna red, ochre gold, deep teal, forest green, and earthy brown, populated with Hopi and Pueblo children in traditional dress, bighorn sheep, brown bears, buffalo, agave plants, and prairie flowers. Children gather in the foreground around a campfire and pottery, others stand watchfully on the mountain's terraces, and stylized goats and rams climb the upper ledges beneath a soft watercolor sky of pastel clouds. This is Mary Blair at the height of her late-career powers — a single composition that distills the colors, traditions, and quiet majesty of the American Southwest into one of the most beloved and most photographed pieces of public art in all of Walt Disney World. Mary Blair was the visionary color stylist behind some of Disney's most iconic films — including Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad — and the conceptual mind behind the legendary It's a Small World ride at the 1964 New York World's Fair. The Grand Canyon Concourse Mural at the Contemporary Resort was one of her last major commissions, completed in 1971 and standing nearly 90 feet tall across five stories of the Disney World hotel's open-atrium lobby. Constructed from over 18,000 individual hand-painted ceramic tiles, the mural is widely considered one of Mary Blair's masterworks — a public-art capstone to a career that shaped generations of Disney aesthetic. It remains in place today exactly as Mary Blair designed it, viewable to every guest who passes through the iconic A-frame Contemporary Resort, and beloved by Disney fans, mid-century design enthusiasts, and architectural ceramic art collectors alike.

Each print has been carefully crafted with rich, vibrant colors and sharp detail to do justice to the artwork. It's available in five sizes — 8x10, 11x14, 11x17, 12x18, and 13x19 inches — so you can find the right scale whether it's destined for a Disney park lover's living room, a mid-century modern dining room, a child's nursery or playroom, an American Southwest-themed home, a Walt Disney World fan's office, a Disney Vacation Club lounge, a Contemporary Resort tribute wall, a Mary Blair design collection, or any space that celebrates iconic Disney concept art. At checkout you'll choose between a glossy or matte finish on professional archival photo paper that's waterproof and fade resistant, plus the option of full edge-to-edge printing for maximum impact or a clean white border that preserves the entire image and makes framing easy. Please note that mats and frames are not included.
