Vintage Marcrest Stoneware Cookie Jar in the Daisy and Dot Pattern. This rustic cookie jar has a rich, brown glaze which accents the raised pattern well. The pattern reminds me of decorations on a gingerbread man, perhaps the same ones that might have once been in this cookie jar. The jar is about 9-1/2" tall up to the top of the knob on the lid, about 8" to the jar rim, 7-3/4" across the bottom, tapering to 6-3/8" across the opening. CONDITION: The outer bottom is stained. I think this is probably from the numerous cookies that were once inside and left a reminder, outside and inside, through the crazing on the inner bottom. The jar is sturdy - no chips or cracks. It does have a few teeny "glaze miss bumps", part of the manufacture. There is some dinginess or scuffs to unglazed rims.
This will ship by choice of Ground Advantage or Priority Mail in the U.S. I have discontinued International Shipping.
