Materials: Porcelain

"Schleiger 70A" is on a white original H&Co blank, painted with blue and pink flowers. This has the same edge as the "Ranson" pattern. The green H&Co mark is was used from 1888-1896 and the red mark was used from 1889 - 1931.
Bone dishes were used to put meat bones on during the meals.

Per the bottom of the saucer, this set was made specifically made for Pitkin & Brooks of Chicago, Illinois. Pitkin & Brooks was a china and glassware importer with a large store open from 1891 - 1920.

In the 1800s, David and his brothers owned a China shop in New York City. 4 brothers who traded, imported, exported China from France and England. David moved his family to France to start producing porcelain, as it was cheaper to produce in France and then distribute. Word spread of his prestigious reputation of fine China.
