Vintage pink angel skin coral beads and vintage Japanese white glass beads with coral highlights have been combined in these lovely and elegant earrings which also feature handmade Bali 24k gold vermeil bead caps and ear wires.

◉ Please note: These earrings were very difficult to photograph because of the intricate drizzled thin delicate raised swirls of white glass on top of the vintage white glass beads themselves. Therefore, I've included a close up of a few of these gorgeous beads ( LOOSE BEADS NOT included in purchase of these earrings ) to give you a better idea of their beauty and uniqueness.

Total weight of these two vintage angel skin coral beads is 2.8 grams and they measure approximately 3/8 "diameter .

Coral is the hard skeleton created by tiny marine organisms known as "coral polyps". Corals live in warm water oceans all over the world,and their habitat has been steadily disappearing because of human water pollution and over fishing.

Since coral collection and mining was banned worldwide in 1992, it is very difficult to find such beads as these in the bead trade! The U.S also currently has a ban on importing corals .
Next to red (oxblood)and dark orange, angel skin( pink and white ) is the most desired and most valuable.

Increasing popularity and decreasing supply has driven up coral prices dramatically in the last few years. Fine quality angel skin coral like this is virtually unobtainable and well polished beads such as these are extremely scarce if even available .

Since coral is an accumulation of the shells of coral polyps it is very rarely free of blemishes and imperfections, such as pits and fine lines. These do not affect the desirability and value of the coral.

The vintage Japanese glass beads have an intricate drizzled swirled pattern - no two beads are exactly alike as they were handmade - they are in mint condition and over 60 years old.

Handmade Bali 24K gold vermeil bead caps help separate these 2 vintage beads adding definition and these earrings have been finished on ornate handmade Bali 24k gold vermeil french ear wires to compliment the ornate bead caps.
Total length is approximately 2".
