HOW IT WORKS
1. Set your labor rate, target margin, waste %, and price rounding once in SETTINGS.
2. Add ingredients and packaging with purchase prices — cost per gram/each appears.
3. Build recipes: batch cost, cost per unit, and a suggested price calculate with true margin math (a $60 cost at 40% margin prices at $100 — not $84).
4. Turn recipes into products, take orders, track deposits and balances.
5. Plan batches — the shopping list writes itself. Read the summary monthly.

WHO IT'S FOR
Solo home bakers and cottage-food sellers, custom cake and cookie makers, sourdough micro-bakers, farmers-market and preorder-drop sellers — roughly 0–100 orders a month, one currency, one operator. You enter and verify your own information; WhiskLedger does the connecting and the math.

WHO IT'S NOT FOR
Multi-location or wholesale operations, teams editing simultaneously, or anyone needing payment processing, bookkeeping/tax software, payroll, or food-safety certification — WhiskLedger doesn't do those, on purpose.

COMPATIBILITY
Microsoft Excel is the primary environment (Excel 2019/365 recommended; built and formula-tested in real Excel). The workbook is designed for practical Google Sheets compatibility — no macros, no add-ins, nothing hidden — and the guide includes import steps plus a verification checklist to run after you import; a live Google Sheets import is not represented as fully tested. Two convenience columns (customer first/last order) use functions that need Excel 2019 or newer (fine in Sheets).
