Outside the window, rows of apple trees stretch into the distance under clear autumn light. Orange leaves frame the glass, while a small roadside sign points toward the orchard only a couple of miles away.

The dachshund has pulled its chair close to the table and rests both front paws near the edge, looking less like a pet waiting for scraps and more like a customer who already knows what the seasonal special is.

The food carries most of the fall story. A large mug marked “Warm Cider” sits beside the dog, while the cinnamon-coated donut and apple pie bring in the bakery side of the orchard café without turning the scene into a generic pumpkin-spice poster.
