Is the artwork AI-generated?

Yes. The artwork is generated with AI, then selected, corrected and composed by me. I want that stated plainly before you buy rather than discovered afterwards. What I actually do: generate a great deal and discard most of it, check what survives for the things these tools get wrong — warped hands, nonsense text in the background, invented signatures, compositions that collapse at thumbnail size — and then do the typography, which is the part that decides whether a cover reads as professional or homemade.

Can I copyright my cover?

The honest answer is that you almost certainly cannot copyright the artwork itself, and you should know that before you buy. US Copyright Office guidance requires human authorship, and writing prompts does not count — it refused registration for an AI image its creator had revised through more than 600 prompts. The Supreme Court declined the question in March 2026, so that stands. In practice: you cannot register copyright in the artwork, and you cannot use copyright to stop someone producing something similar. Your book's text is entirely unaffected — that is your work and your copyright. Human-authored elements layered on top, such as the title treatment, may carry thin protection. General information, not legal advice.

So could someone else end up with my cover?

Not from me. Every cover is sold exactly once and retired from the shop permanently. I do not resell, rebundle, or relicense it, ever. But be clear about what that is: a promise from me, backed by how this shop operates — not a legal protection. Because AI-generated artwork is not copyrightable, you would not have a copyright claim against an unrelated third party who independently produced something similar. Exclusivity here is contractual and practical, not statutory.

Do I have to tell Amazon it is AI?

Yes, and it is straightforward. Amazon KDP requires you to inform them of AI-generated content — text, images or translations — when you publish a new book or republish an existing one. It is a disclosure step in the publishing workflow. Two things worth knowing: disclosure is required, not prohibited. Declaring AI-generated cover art does not block publication and is not displayed to readers. Other stores have their own rules, so check wherever else you publish. Not disclosing when required is what causes problems, so just tick the box.

What am I allowed to do with it?

Everything you would want to do with a cover you commissioned: • Publish it as your book cover, anywhere, in any format, forever. • Print editions, audiobook art, box sets, ads, banners, social posts, merchandise and promotional use. • Keep using it if you change publisher, retitle, or move platforms. No time limit, no territory limit, no royalties, and no need to credit me. The one thing you cannot do is resell or redistribute the artwork itself as artwork — as stock, in a bundle, or as a cover for someone else to use.

Why does this cost more than a $14 premade?

Because a $14 cover has usually been sold hundreds of times. Yours is sold once. You are also paying for the typesetting — your title and author name set properly onto the artwork, in four treatments, checked at thumbnail size and in greyscale. That is the work that decides whether a cover looks professional, and it is included rather than an add-on.

Exclusive premade dragon book cover for a LitRPG, progression fantasy or epic fantasy novel, sold once and then retired, with your title and author name typeset free.

Aldous Penn died at his desk, forty-one, unremarkable, and woke up wet, blind and hungry at the bottom of a nest above the cloud line.

The nest belongs to storm wyrms. He is one now — the runt, the one the others step on — and the only thing he brought with him from the old life is a clerk's habit of keeping accounts.

He has worked out the exchange rate. Every level the storm gives him costs him one human memory, and he does not get to choose which.

He has forty-one left.
