How you get it. This is a personalized digital file, made to order. After you order, we make your map and send your files (a PDF and a 300 dpi PNG) by Etsy Messages within 24 hours. It is not an instant download, and nothing is shipped.

HOW TO PERSONALIZE (five boxes on this page):
STYLE: choose from the Style menu: Midnight Atlas, Cream Atlas, Painted Horizon or Celestial Plate.
DATE AND LOCAL TIME: the day, then the local time at the place, or "unknown".
PLACE: city, state/country.
TITLE AND NAMES (optional): for example "The night we met, Jordan & Priya" (up to 80 characters).
STAR OR GUIDE LINE (optional): a star to feature and its label (for example Vega, Our star), or a guide to add a line from: Luna, Atlas, Sage, Tess, Zara, Kiran, Mei, Mira or Rook.
Not sure of the time? Enter "unknown". We use 9 PM for a wedding, anniversary, new baby or birthday, and noon for anything else, and the map says which time we used.
We highlight a star and add your label. The label isn't an official star name. If the star you name is below the horizon at your date, time and place, we'll feature the nearest bright star and tell you which.

DELIVERY: Delivered within 24 hours via Etsy Messages (usually much sooner). FILES: a print-ready PDF (vector) and a PNG at 300 dpi in the 2:3 poster ratio. PRINT SIZES that fit: 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30 and 24x36 inches. Try 8x12 for a shelf, 12x18 above a dresser, or 24x36 for a statement wall. Every size is the same 2:3 art. Print it at a local print shop or online. No physical item is shipped.

CHANGES: if we made an error, we fix it at no charge. If you typed a mistake, send one correction within 48 hours of delivery and we'll redo it at no charge. Digital files can't be returned, so we can't refund a change of mind once your file is delivered. If your file is wrong, won't open or doesn't match what you ordered, message us and we'll fix it, replace it or refund you. This doesn't limit your rights under Etsy's Purchase Protection or the law.

HOW IT'S MADE (AI disclosure): Every sky is computed by our own software for your date, time and place, from a professional star catalog and planetary ephemeris, and drawn as vector art. The optional guide characters and painted landscapes are AI-assisted illustrations, created from our own original prompts and edited by us. No photos are used. The listing photos show the map in digitally created scenes. A star map shows where things were in the sky.
