Funny Skeleton Sandcastle Beach Poster, Summer Vacation Art (Digital Download)

A sunglasses-wearing skeleton spends the afternoon building an elaborate sandcastle on a bright Mediterranean beach.

Wearing a striped sun hat and surrounded by buckets, seashells and starfish, the skeleton seems unusually committed to getting every tower exactly right.

Behind the scene, turquoise water stretches toward a hillside of sunlit coastal homes while a striped beach umbrella frames the upper corner.

The large SANDS OF TIME lettering gives the artwork the feel of a retro summer vacation poster, with cream, coral and turquoise details that connect directly to the beach palette.

The sandcastle fills the foreground with small towers, shells and sculpted walls, giving the composition plenty of detail without losing the central joke.

Warm sand and bone tones contrast with the strong blue sea and sky, while coral-red accessories bring color into the lower half of the image.

Although there is a skeleton at the center, this piece is designed as summer and beach humor rather than traditional Halloween decor.

It works naturally in beach houses, bedrooms, living rooms, dorms, offices and relaxed coastal spaces.

This print also makes a fun gift for beach lovers, summer people, sandcastle enthusiasts or anyone who appreciates a slightly darker interpretation of wasting time at the shore.

Some people count the hours. Others build castles out of them.
