A cozy little crowd of Christmas friends for your needles: 36 original colorwork charts, from Pip the Penguin and a sleepy bear in a nightcap to a gingerbread friend, a fox in a scarf and a mug of cocoa with marshmallows.

Knit them on stockings, hats, mittens, cushions or the yoke of a sweater. These are charts only, not a garment pattern: pair them with your favorite stocking, hat or sweater pattern.

MADE FOR KNITTERS
- Charts are drawn the shape knit stitches really are (5 wide by 4 tall), so motifs don't come out squashed
- Rows and stitches numbered on both sides, heavy lines every 10
- Each color has a symbol too, so the charts read in black and white
- 23 motifs are marked STRANDED: never more than 2 colors in a row, every row checked, with a catch mark wherever a float would run over 5 stitches
- The others are marked DUPLICATE ST / INTARSIA, with a note on how to work them
- Sizes given for worsted (20 sts x 25 rows = 10 cm / 4 in) and DK
