WHAT IT CALCULATES
✔ Total budget split into 8 categories (gifts, Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas dinner, New Year's Eve, decorations & home, travel & outings, St. Nicholas & Advent, other) with editable percentages and a check that they add up to 100%
✔ Up to 300 expenses: date, category (dropdown), description, amount and how you paid
✔ For every category: budget, spent, left, % used and a status (within budget, close to limit, over budget)
✔ Summary with Christmas countdown, total spent, still available, budget used, a budget vs spent chart and how much of your Christmas bonus goes on the holidays (optional)
✔ Data checks: rows with a category not on the list and duplicate category names are counted on the summary
✔ Amounts in euro

• Formulas tested by full recalculation in Excel for Microsoft 365; calculations also checked in Google Sheets. No macros.
