THE DEADLINES COLORADO SETS, STEP BY STEP
• The formal notice follows §38-33.3-209.5: certified mail, return receipt requested; 30 days to cure (72 hours for health or safety); the $500 total fine cap for other violations; and the owner's right to be heard, in English and any language the owner asked for.
• Hearing and fine steps: an impartial decision maker, no daily fines, inspection within 7 days, the second 30-day cure period, and no foreclosure for fines.
• The tracker works out Colorado's cure and inspection dates, and the 60-day deemed-approval date for solar and other renewable energy devices (§38-30-168).
