The License & CE Renewal Tracker is a protected, formula-driven workbook for therapists, counselors and other licensed professionals who have to keep up with continuing education. It works in Excel and Google Sheets, has no macros or add-ons, and holds no client information of any kind.

WHAT IT DOES
• Licenses tab: one row per license or certification (room for 30). State, type, number, issue and expiry dates, renewal cycle in months, total CE hours required, and your own required hours for each tracked category.
• Four tracked categories you can rename to match your board. They start as Ethics, Supervision, Cultural competence and Suicide prevention.
• CE Log: log each course once (date, course, provider, hours, category) and credit it to up to three licenses, or to All. Room for 1,000 courses.
• Only courses dated inside each license's current renewal period count, so old hours drop off on their own after you renew. Older courses stay in the log as your record.
• Dashboard: next renewal and days left, hours earned vs. required, category shortfalls spelled out (for example "Ethics 1h"), certificates not yet filed, and a status for each license: red if expired or hours are short with renewal close, amber if hours are still needed or renewal is coming up, green if on track. The red window (90 days) and amber window (180 days) are defaults you can change.
• A Check column in the CE Log flags a course with no license picked, a duplicate license, or a certificate not yet filed.
• Every tab is protected with no password, so formulas can't be overwritten by accident. Input cells stay editable.

HOW IT WORKS IN EXCEL AND GOOGLE SHEETS
• Excel 2016 or later / Microsoft 365 (Windows and Mac): unzip the download, open the BLANK workbook and click Enable Editing. There are no macros, so you are never asked to enable them.
• Google Sheets: unzip, upload the .xlsx to Google Drive, open it and choose File > Save as Google Sheets (the setup guide walks through it, including how to re-protect the formula columns, because Excel's sheet protection does not carry over).
• LibreOffice Calc: open the .xlsx directly. Linux users: use Google Sheets or LibreOffice Calc.

WHO IT'S FOR
Therapists, counselors, social workers and other licensed professionals (for example LPC, LCSW, LMFT) with one license or several. The categories and hour totals are yours to set, so it can follow the rules of your board.

GOOD TO KNOW
• The workbook only does arithmetic on the numbers you enter. It does not know any board's rules. If your board counts hours differently (carry-over hours, limits on home-study hours, a category that doesn't add to the total), adjust your entries by hand.
• Four categories are tracked at once; if you need more, track the extras in the Notes column.

NOT INCLUDED
