Growing nicely. Against expectations.

A wide watercolor shape that looks half like a leaf and half like a head of cabbage. Cobalt and violet crowd the top edge, a row of dark blue drops runs through the middle like seeds in a pod, and the bottom spreads out into grass green with a thin yellow rim. “Growing nicely.” arches over it in heavy wide caps. “Against expectations.” follows the lower curve in a handwritten-style script, a little quieter, like a remark nobody asked for.

For the plant that was supposed to die in its first week, the side project that refused to quit, or the person who had a rough year and is somehow doing fine. Hang it over a desk, next to the windowsill jungle, or give it to someone who needs to hear it.
