It is Christmas Eve at the North Pole. Santa leaves at midnight, but the Sleigh Key is locked inside a Puzzle Box made by Tilly Thistlewick, the head toymaker. Your team solves her puzzles in the Toy Workshop, the Mail Room and Santa's Cottage, hunts for ornament cards hidden in your own room, opens the Sleigh Barn and cracks the Puzzle Box, while Nutmeg, the youngest reindeer, gives hints a little at a time. Junior (ages 6 to 8, with a grown-up reading along) runs about 45 minutes; Family (ages 9 to 12) and Expert (teens and adults) run about 60. Every level has its own 12 puzzles and its own answers, so you can play again at the next level.

1. Print the Player Pack for your level, one copy per team, single-sided at 100% (Actual size).

2. Cut out the ornament cards on pack page 15 and hide them in the room where you play (the Room Map is Host Guide page 9).

3. Label 4 envelopes per team (Host Guide page 8) and fill them: three rooms for the start, and the Sleigh Barn for the end. Only the Mission Brief stays on the table.

4. Open the Game Master app, choose the same level, read Tilly's letter aloud and start the clock. Solve the three rooms in any order, then the Sleigh Barn, then the Puzzle Box.

Is it too hard for my 6-year-old?
Play Junior. It is written for ages 6 to 8 with a grown-up reading along: picture clues, short instructions, and Nutmeg's nudges help without giving the answer away.

Do we need internet?
Not to play. On a computer, double-click the app file and it opens in your web browser. On a phone or tablet, install it once with INSTALL-AS-AN-APP.txt, and it runs offline from then on. A phone's file preview (for example the iPhone Files app) shows the file but cannot run it.

Can we play without a phone or computer?
Yes. The Hint Cards carry the same hints on paper, and the Host Guide keeps the answer keys at the back, marked HOST ONLY, so the host checks answers by hand.
