Seller's description

CLOVER — the quilted patchwork jacket you piece yourself

Some jackets you sew. Clover you BUILD — first the fabric, then the jacket. Piece simple patchwork panels from 12.5 cm squares in three or four fabrics you love, quilt them with easy stitch-in-the-ditch lines, then cut out a proper jacket: shirt collar, five big buttons, two patch pockets, set-in sleeves. Boxy, cropped at the hip, and made to layer over everything from tees to chunky jumpers.

Confident beginners: this is your jacket. The patchwork is straight-line sewing, the quilting hides in the seams, and the booklet walks you through every stage with a beginner roadmap.

WHY SEWISTS LOVE CLOVER

FABRIC & SUPPLIES
- Patchwork: quilting cotton (prints + solids), cotton flannel, linen or linen-cotton, light denim/chambray — 3-4 fabrics, 1.8-2.3 m total (or 8-11 fat quarters)
- Low-loft cotton or cotton/poly batting, 1.4-1.7 m
- Backing/lining (quilting cotton or lawn), 1.6-2.0 m
- Light fusible interfacing 0.4 m; 5 large buttons (25-30 mm)

THE HONEST BIT
Clover was drafted digitally and validated mathematically piece by piece (seam lengths, sleeve-cap ease, collar fit, pocket placement, block grid). It has not been toile-tested on a body by our studio. First jacket? Piece and quilt ONE front panel and pin it up against yourself before committing your favourite fabrics — the booklet shows you how. Questions? Message the shop: we answer personally and fix real issues fast.
