A little baller deserves a name on the wall. This basketball name sign adds a hoop, a sneaker, a ball and a gold trophy, all in layered painted wood.

Pictured with the name "Carter" in navy. Hang it over a crib, a toddler bed or a play corner, and the room instantly has a theme.

THE QUICK ANSWERS

What's it made of?
Laser-cut 4 mm plywood. Each color area is a separate matte, hand-painted piece, so the orange ball, the gold trophy and the letters stay crisp and distinct.

What can I personalize?
The name, the font (20 choices) and the name color (25 named colors, such as Old Navy). The four basketball figures stay exactly as pictured, so the final sign matches what you see.

How big is it?
Sizes go by the longest part, usually the name: 10", 20", 25", 30", 35" or 40". A longer sign (30" and up) makes more of a statement.

Can it light up?
Yes, optionally. A warm LED backlight sits behind the name only (not the figures). It's available for 25"-40" with fonts 1-10, runs on USB with no batteries, and has a button for on, off and dimming. The cord is about 18" (45 cm) and plugs into any USB charger; a wall adapter is not included. Fonts 11-20 can't be backlit.

How do I hang it?
Double-sided tape comes in the box. Over a crib we recommend small nails or screws as well, and keeping any cord out of your baby's reach. The sign is decor, not a toy.

When will it arrive?
After you order we send a design proof, and we only cut after you approve it. A workshop in British Columbia, Canada makes it to order: 5-9 days of production plus 3-7 days of US shipping. Shipping to the US is $30 (to Canada $25), added at checkout.

What if something goes wrong?
If the sign is damaged in transit or we make a mistake, we remake it for free. Since each sign carries a child's name, we can't take returns for a change of mind.

About the photos
Room photos are digital renderings of the design, to show style and scale.

Care
Wipe dust with a soft dry cloth. Keep away from water and steam.
