The is the First Edition in paperback format of "Selected Poetry of Hayden Carruth", published by Collier - Macmillan Books in 1985. The book has an illuminating Foreword by poet Galway Kinnell, who also edited the collection. The paperback format was issued simultaneously with the hardcover. Said Galway Kinnell of Carruth's poems : "His work teems with the struggle to live and to make sense, and his poems carve out a kind of grace for us."
