For me, the creative process is meditative. This piece was so fun to create that I want others to be able to join me!

Saint Hildegard, one of 4 female doctors of the church, was a health & wellness enthusiast, author, artist and mystic. Included in this lively coloring page are the text of one of her hymns in Latin and English, spelt (her favorite nutritious grain), and a selection of images evoking the Catholic art she created in the 1200s (the trees and flowers...when I paint this, I plan to work in some stars in her style as well).

The source for this printable is a digital photograph, taken by me, of the black & white line drawing that I created by hand as I worked on the original 12x12 inch piece.
