Summer dresses pattern for 36" to 38" Fashion Doll

This is a base pattern to help you create all manner of sleeveless dresses for My Size Barbie. At 36in tall, this Barbie is a little difficult to dress in bought fashions because clothing available for purchase is a rarity, so make your own! Unlike tiny Barbie, there are no fiddly bits to sew for this Doll - no tiny hems, no hard to reach places that need fine stitches. This pattern gives Barbie the choice of a strappy summer dress, through evening wear, all the way to a beautiful wedding dress with the optional sweetheart neckline. The skirt is a simple gathered style, in a rectangular shape, which can be made in any length from peplum through mini to evening wear. Included are some photos to give you ideas for taking Barbie to a new level of fashion. This pattern is designed to fit 36" to 38" dolls, but owing to the tailored nature, it may require some adjustment in the darts.

This pattern has the paper outline pieces, some on 2 pages (but no more than two) which will need to be attached to each other, and written instructions to guide you through the process. I recommend that you trace the pattern pieces on to some medium weight non-fusible interfacing for ease of use and storage. Be aware that different manufacturing dates on this line of dolls had slightly different measurements, and you made need to make small adjustments.

In my patterns, fastenings recommended are Velcro or buttons to help little girls to dress their dolls more easily. This range includes leggings, skirts, a T-shirt, a button front shirt, a long sleeved top with a high neck, summer dresses, and a lovely hooded jacket.
