Why don't your kits have instructions?

We sell kits and instructions separately in order to best meet the needs of most of our customers. Our instructions tend to be multi-page, full-color instructions and are best viewed digitally, where you can zoom in on the photos. Some customers only need the tutorial, as they purchase jump rings in bulk elsewhere. Additionally, some customers already know how to make a certain weave and only need materials. This way, each chainmailler can mix-n-match to purchase exactly what is needed.

Dragon's Eye pendant combines two classic chainmaille weaves (Europen 4-in-1 and Half Persian 3-in-1) into one eye-catching final piece. We recommend learning this project using two different base metals and two colors of anodized aluminum rings as shown to make it easier to follow along with the tutorial.

Steady Hands Required: Portions of this piece are extremely tight and difficult to weave. A steady hand is required to create this pendant. You may also wish to have a set of chain nose or other narrow-nosed pliers on hand to close rings in more challenging spots.

Dragon's Eye is a large and hefty pendant -- approx 2.5" (6 cm) across. If you'd like to resize to a smaller pendant, try using our weave resizing widget to determine possible ring sizes based on a smaller wire diameter - http://www.bluebuddhaboutique.com/b3/ring_sizes/transform_weave
