Do you accept custom digital file orders?

Custom orders for digital files are sometimes accepted, depending on my current workload. Please message me for current turnaround times. I provide proofs, but I require payment before I start sketching. Please know that I work hard to ensure that you're happy with what you receive from me. :) I am not a copy machine; I will not copy someone else's work. I can take ideas from something you like and come up with my own design, but I can not - and will not - reproduce someone else's work for profit. If you find an item somewhere that is similar to something in my shop, please know that outside of using common phrases - many of which are suggested by my customers - all my items are my personal property. Do you accept custom wood sign orders?

I am not currently accepting custom wood sign orders at this time.

Why is your sign inventory low? Can I still buy the sign I favorited?

After welcoming our 5th child in the summer of 2016, we have decided to move away from creating wood signs. Thanks for understanding! :)

Do you offer Commercial Licensing?

Commercial licensing is available! Please see the Commercial Licensing section in my shop for details. If you purchase a file without commercial licensing, it remains personal use only, unless stated in the listing description. Please see individual listing descriptions for details on our Personal Use Policy. Custom designs do not automatically come with commercial licensing. Commercial licensing is available for purchase on custom designs, however if you want exclusivity to such designs, there is an additional charge and it must be discussed upfront. Please inquire for details.

Can I sell items I make using your art?

Yes, however - most designs are personal use only unless commercial licensing is purchased separately. If you would like to sell items using our designs, please purchase commercial licensing for each of the files you wish to use. Each listing description states our Personal Use Policy, so please find the file you would like and carefully read the listing description. There are separate listings outlining our Commercial Use Policy with pricing. The files that are free commercial use are marked accordingly.

Do you have any coupons?

Do you offer any fonts?

I have started to create fonts, but they are unavailable on Etsy.

This is a hand-lettered, hand drawn instant downloadable re-scalable/vector file. You can simply print and frame the art, or use it with most cut machines to make your own vinyl crafts! No art will be mailed to you. Each design is personally hand-lettered by me; no fonts are used in creating any of my designs. Each one is drawn by hand and then taken into the computer and converted into a digital format for you to use in your personal DIY projects. This is what makes them completely unique to my shop – you won’t find these designs in this lettering anywhere else! If you would like to sell items using the art, please purchase commercial licensing along with the designs you’d like to use on your items.

DIGITAL FILES LICENSING
You CAN:
1. Print/cut files for your personal use only. Personal use is defined by non-commercial use. Commercial use is sold separately unless specifically stated otherwise.
2. Give away a print out (not the digital files) as a gift. Digital files may not be shared. If something happens to your files (i.e. computer crash or accidental deletion), please contact us.

You CANNOT:
1. Gift or share the digital files through email, USB, disc, or any other way.
2. Sell the print out, digital files, or anything you make using our files unless proper commercial licensing is purchased.
3. Use the printable file or print out, or other digital files for commercial use, on a website, or to promote a product. Pease see my commercial licensing options in order to sell items using my art.

Purchasing a digital file from our shop does not transfer the rights to the buyer. Copyright still belongs to The Smudge Factory™. By purchasing a digital file, you agree to all the terms stated above.
