Most of my pieces have been either dry cleaned or hand washed and steamed out. Unless you know a dry cleaner has expertise with vintage fabrics do not leave your garment with them! I find that spot cleaning works well; just a bit of Woolite on a wet washcloth does the trick. Use only a drop. I also use my bathtub and mild detergent ( Woolite) to swish a garment clean... CONDITION CHART Pristine/ perfect/ mint. As new, absolutely no flaws or wear Excellent. Used with no noticeable flaws Very Good. Used with minor flaws, no repairs needed Good. Visible wear. Minor flaws or optional repairs needed Fair. Numerous flaws, repairs needed, fragile Poor. Extensive damage. For display or study only
