T H E S T O R Y: I created this sloping metal stand more than 25 years ago to organize my magazine collections while living in a small apartment with storage challenges. I optimized the simple no-frills shape for form and function and incorporated my personal design style that is simple and highly functional without unnecessary ornamentations. Using only a single sheet of flat steel and two bends I created an iconic minimalist metal sculpture that evokes Lightness and a daring sense of Balance. The seemingly impossible stand leans back and virtually floats in space, defying gravity with grace and style. Today I make this same stand in several different sizes to organize all types of flat media. Available in neutral Black, White and Silver colors to match any style of décor.
