Baby clothes quilts can be made using your son or daughter’s baby clothing (t-shirts, etc.), for you to cherish. This quilt It will always remind you of when your son or daughter was little and of the special memories that you shared.

Don't throw out their old baby clothes. They are so cute with their adorable characters on them and cute little sayings such as “baby’s first Christmas,” “Daddy’s little girl,” “hugs and kisses,” “rockstar” and many others. I can also use their first baby blanket, receiving blankets in the quilt as cornerstones or framing strips.

A FEW OF THE SPECIAL QUILTS MADE BY QUILTSBYKANDY:

- A Grandmother’s birthday quilt, made with each square in the quilt from an article of clothing from each of her grandchildren. The center square was a swatch from grandmother’s 50 year-old wedding gown, adorned with a swatch from her veil.

- A special quilt made from a newlywed couple’s shirts (his and hers) intermingled into one quilt as a symbol of their lives joining as one.

- A quilt made out of your child’s clothing from their first year of life all the way through quilts made for them using their college colors.

- A tiny cherished blanket sent to me from a customer who had saved it from her childhood. Her request was to use this fragile fabric as the beginning of a full size quilt.

- Quilts made out of the clothing of a loved who has passed on. I’ve had many customers tell me that these quilts feel like a hug from their beloved family member or friend.

- Signature quilts, where each square of the quilt is signed at a baby shower, special birthday, anniversary, or any special occasion and sent to me to memorialize the day by making a quilt out of those signed squares.

- A quilt made for a newborn son, out of the pockets from his Dad’s Firefighter shirts.

- Sorority quilts are fun to make using the sorority’s colors for framing strips and corner squares.

Each square of clothing will be backed with stabilizer to ensure its durability and long life. The backing fabric will be a fabric of your choice. Maybe you have a favorite color you would like to use for the backing. Please note that there is an additional charge for minky and specialty fabrics.

Option A: Our custom quilts require a minimum payment of 50% up front, with the remaining balance of 50% due upon completion of the quilt.
