Do you include pricing in gift orders?

No, I never include printed invoices unless requested, so gift orders always arrive without pricing.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

I don’t offer traditional gift wrapping, but I’m always happy to include a handwritten gift message - just leave your note at checkout and I’ll include it with care. I can also send your order directly to the recipient if it’s a gift. Every piece is placed on a Scarlet Impressions card, wrapped in eco-friendly tissue printed with soy ink, and cushioned with recyclable paper shreds. The box is easy to reuse, even the tape and labels peel off cleanly. I try to make each parcel feel like a little moment in itself, while keeping it kind to the earth.

Can I request a colour or design I’ve seen before?

Sometimes! If I have the same colours or glass in stock, I may be able to recreate something similar. Just send me a message and I’ll let you know what’s possible.

Do you offer custom or personalised designs?

Yes, I love creating custom pieces that feel personal and meaningful. Whether you want to honour a memory, mark a milestone, or simply bring a colour story to life, I’m happy to collaborate with you. From colour palettes to symbolism and energy, we’ll shape something that speaks directly to you. Send me a message with your idea, and we’ll go from there.

How do memorial pieces work?

You're welcome to order directly without needing to contact me first. Once your order is placed, I’ll send out a memorial pack within 2 working days to help make the process as clear and respectful as possible. The pack includes two small bags. One is marked with your name, order number, a brief description of the piece, and a personalised fill line showing exactly how much is needed. The second bag is used to hold the first, adding an extra layer of protection for the ashes during shipping. It also includes a pre-addressed, stamped envelope, so you can send the ashes back to me with ease. I only need a very small amount, and I return anything unused. These pieces are created with deep reverence and care.

When will my order arrive? What if it’s delayed or lost?

I ship all orders with Royal Mail unless you choose a shipping upgrade at checkout. While I do my best to get your order to you on time, sometimes delays happen that are outside my control. If your order hasn’t arrived within the estimated timeframe, feel free to reach out. Please note that Royal Mail considers a parcel officially lost only after the following timeframes: - UK: 14 working days - Europe: 25 working days - Rest of World: 32 working days Once this time has passed, I’ll gladly look into a replacement or refund.

There’s a problem with my order, what should I do?

If something’s not quite right, I’m here to help. Whether your piece arrived damaged, was delayed, or didn’t meet your expectations, please reach out via Etsy Messages. If there’s damage, photos are really helpful so I can find the best resolution. Whether that means a replacement, a refund, or something else, we’ll work together to make it right.

Can I return my order?

If you change your mind, I accept returns on eligible items. Just contact me within 14 days of receiving your order and return it in its original, unused condition within 30 days. International returns must be clearly marked as “Return” on the CN22 customs form. Once I receive the item, I’ll process your refund including the base shipping cost. Please note that optional shipping upgrades aren’t refundable. Memorial pieces are non-returnable unless they arrive damaged or faulty, as they are custom made with personal materials.

Can you ship to the EU, Northern Ireland, or the United States?

Due to the 2024 GSPR update, I’m currently unable to ship to EU countries, EEC members, or Northern Ireland. These new regulations have made it extremely difficult for small handmade businesses like mine to ship internationally. From 29th August 2025, new rules also require all shipments to the United States to be sent using Delivery Duty Paid (DDP). Unfortunately, my current shipping method doesn’t yet allow me to collect and pay tariffs in advance, which means I’ve had to temporarily turn off US orders as well. I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience. My hope is to find a solution that makes it possible to reopen shipping to these areas in the future. Until then, thank you for your patience and understanding.

Clear glass drinking straw with a slight bend and coil of colour.

The original design Scarlet Impressions straw. This was the very first style of reusable drinking straws that I made. Released a few months before it was announced they would be banning plastic straws in the UK.
It took me a few months of testing to find the ideal size for the straws to cover a variety of different drinks and give the best durability.

Available in multiple sizes:
Mug - 7" long, 10mm external diameter, 2mm wall, 6mm internal diameter. Made especially to fit the average coffee mugs.

Standard - 8.2" long, 10mm external diameter, 2mm wall, 6mm internal diameter. Fits most styles of tall glasses and longer styled cans

Wine Bottle - 13.5" long, 10mm external diameter, 2mm wall, 6mm internal diameter. Designed to fit a standard wine bottle, great novelty gift or useful hen party addition.

- Why do you need it? -
Glass straws are chemically inert which means they don't spoil the flavour, allowing you to enjoy your drink at its best.
They are reuseable so you don't have to buy more and more, saving you money in the long term and reducing energy consumption.
Clear glass is the most hygienic option as you will always be able to see it is clean.
Around the home they are a great addition to your kitchen or mini bar. Sit out on the patio and relax, sipping your favourite beverage.
At parties they double up as a way of personalising and identifying your drink.
Heading out and meeting up for a drink? Save yourself from a single use straw.

- Will it break -
They are glass, so of course there is always the risk of breakage. However with normal use these straws are incredibly tough.
This is where I would normally pick up a straw and start tapping it against a table top to show you they are not something that easily snaps in half.
I've tested and selected to use 2mm thick glass for the straws as it offers the best durability for use without being too clunky.

- Cleaning Tips -
If you don't have a dishwasher the best way to clean your straw is in hot soapy water. Let it sit in the water for a little while then shake it back and forth under the surface, rinse out the soap suds then stand upright to dry.
When out and about with your straw once it's been used a quick rinse will clean off any residue of your drink.
A specialist brush is not required but can be used if you are more comfortable cleaning them that way.
