Do you engrave on the buckles?

We do not have engraved buckles, sorry. If you order a buckle on its own from another place and mail it to us, we will be more than happy to use it at no added charge for a metal buckle upgrade. When ordering, just select the buckle or buckle martingale as the collar type and leave a note at checkout that you have a engraved buckle coming to us to use for the collar :)

Why is your processing so long?

Our processing time is a direct reflection of the issues we are all experiencing due to increased sales and Supply Chain issues. I have a wonderful PROFESSIONAL seamstress to help out, and we are working around the clock to get order out in a timely manner. If you would like an update for your order please message me on Etsy - NOT EMAIL, Etsy will keep your message with your order and save time and confusion for everyone.

What is your processing time?

Temporarily, our processing time is roughly 3-4 weeks. If you need your order sooner we do have a RUSH fee available, if I have your fabric in stock. At this time we are having to allow more time for our vendors to be able to ship our custom fabrics, and hardware. We do realize that other shops on Etsy ship without any delays. Each shop has their own vendors, and ours produce a custom fabric which is made individually. We realize that this is a longer processing time than usual, and we will change this as soon as we are able to ship in a faster time frame. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this unusual time.

This listing is to upgrade your buckle collar to a BREAKAWAY DOG COLLAR. Be sure to add a buckle collar to cart with the upgrade to order.

This collar type will breakaway at about 8 lbs of pressure. This collar type is perfect for those pups that are mischievious and gives pet parents peace of mind.

The Breakaway Dog Collar adjusts like a regular buckle collar but has two d-rings, one on either side of the buckle. These d-rings are to be clipped together with the leash clasp so the collar can be used for walks without breaking apart.

A traditional Snap Hook, pictured on the collar, is recommended for leashes when usinging this collar type. If a breakaway Dog collar is ordered with a leash, we will use the Snap Hook when making your order.

This collar is not meant for tie outs.

Like all collars, they must be cleaned and checked regularly for wear and tear.

We were looking for a breakaway design because one of our dogs will drag the other by her collar during playtime. This one works perfectly! When he tugs too hard on her collar, it pops right off, he leaves it alone, and they go on playing. I'm very, very pleased with my purchase. I would recommend some way to add which collar this goes to, because it took several discussions with the seller to iron that out. Very pleasant interactions though.

I love the option to give my dogs a breakaway collar, even though I had a brain-fart moment when I ordered mine as a martingale 😂 the collar is still perfect and I love how sturdy this buckle is while not being too difficult to open in an emergency. Definitely recommend and will be putting this on my next collar as well!
