Why should I buy from you?

I have degrees in animal science and nutrition from North Carolina State University. I have spent years studying and researching the needs of our claw-babies and did several research projects on their cousin, the coconut crab. I source from reliable, environmentally sustainable, organic, non-GMO suppliers. All of my products have been through trials by over 50+ hermit crabs--so I can see what they REALLY love. I have successfully ran several online businesses and I know the importance of top-notch customer service, quality products, and speedy turn around time. I stand by my products 100%.

There's an issue with my order...what do I do now?

While mistakes on our side are rare, they do happen because we are human--even robots make mistakes! If there is an issue with your order, we request that you contact us within 72 hours of delivery (confirmed via tracking). We will always do our best to make it right with you.

Why do you sell by net weight and not bag size?

Legally, that is what is required. It's also a more transparent way of selling products. We will use a 2" x 3" bag size as an example. That bag size may hold 2 Oz of greensand, but it will only hold 0.5 Oz of worm castings. Big difference, huh? So instead of our customers having to play a guessing game as to how much they are getting--net weights are given.

TUBE INFORMATION: Small tube dimensions: 3" x 0.755" diameter Large tube dimensions: 4.5" x 0.755" diameter Additional Tube Information: #5 recyclable, flip top, hinged lid design that is air and mositure resistant, FDA compliant, BPA/latex/lead free, and Made in the USA. From time to time, our supplier runs out of clear tubes and we have to wait while they make more for us. When this happens, we switch to another color--same quality, same specs, just a different color!

We have four sizes of bags that we use. Again, we sell by net weight--so please be sure to make note of the weights you are purchasing, not the specific bag size. Extra Small Bulk Bag*: 3.5 x 5.5 inches Small Bulk Bag: 4.7 x 7.8 inches Medium Bulk Bag: 5.9 x 8.6 inches Large Bulk Bag: 7 x 10.2 inches *The extra small bag is ONLY used for Seven Days of Buffets mixes.* They are white Kraft pouches with a resealable zip lock design. Recyclable! Photos are available on listings and above the FAQ section so that you can visually compare the sizes.

How do I know if my food has been tampered with?

Every food product we ship is sealed. Tubes are sealed using tamper proof shrink bands. Bulk bags are heat sealed.

Foods are packaged in our Pour N’ Go Food Tubes ™. These tubes are 4.5” x 0.755" diameter. They are #5 recyclable, flip top, hinged lid design that offers air and moisture resistance and are FDA compliant for food packaging. BPA/Latex/Lead free. Our tubes also have perforated security seals.

Serving size for all products: ¼ tsp per 3 crabs. If feeding in combination with other foods, you can likely use less.

NO PRODUCTS UNDERGO CHEMICAL PROCESSING OR PRESERVATION.

**A word of caution for those sensitive to smell--all of our items have undergone minimal processing to ensure the integrity of nutrients. Since our items are not highly processed, they retain their natural scents. For example, fish based foods will smell like fish.**

All products can be safely stored for up to two years in a cool, dark location in properly sealed containers.
