Why is this on sale? This was my original model for a Lambda phage pin, however a learned source later told me that phage Lambda actually has four tail fibers rather than the 6 that is typical of its family (Siphoviridae). I had made the cardinal error of trusting someone else's diagram.
I thought of simply re-branding this as a T1 phage, but the tail-tip apparatus was inappropriate... and so I modified my original models, and I now have accurate pins of both a T1 and a Lambda phage.
The pin shown in this listing was cast from my original model, and has features common to family Siphoviridae, however it does not, to my knowledge, accurately depict any one "species" of phage.
