We were at the Cruinniunam Bad Festival held every year in Kinvara, Ireland to celebrate these beautiful boats.

We were lucky enough that our appartment over looked the harbour so we were able to watch these amazing boats from our window. I fell in love with their red sails. This piece is to celebrate them.


Wild Atlantic Way

Kinvara, on the wild atlantic way, is a sea port village in the southwest of County Galway, Ireland. And in Kinvara they hold a Cruinniunam Bad Festival to celebrate the Galway Hooker boat with their beautiful red sails every year. So we were very lucky to be in Kinvara at the time of the festival a few years ago. Especially as our apartment over looked the harbour so we had a fantastic view of all the Galway Hooker boat races.

Other similar prints of Ireland are available and they would look great hung together.

This fine art print is a print of an original piece of fibre art that I created. The original fibre art was created using merino wool and other materials added to the top of the piece before wet felting. I have added some organza material and other fibres and silk on top of the sea make it shimmer. Once dry it was needle felted and a little machine sewing. All this detail can be seen on these professionally created giclee art prints.

The size of the image itself is 7" x 7" (inches) printed with a white boarder around the image to enable me to sign, date and number each print. It is a limited edition print (only 95 will be produced in this size).

The original artwork was professionally scanned and printed. Customers often comment (see reviews) on the quality of my art prints and how they are much better in life than they are pictured on Etsy. This is because your screen shows images at 72 DPI (dots per inch) but the prints are printed at 300 DPI (dots per inch) so they look so much better in real life.
