This downloadable PDF pattern has detailed step-by-step instructions that are accompanied by high-quality photos of the process.
The pattern includes photo tutorials on how to make a magic ring, an invisible finish, invisible decreases in single crochet (double crochet in UK terms), back loop single crochet decreases, and double crochet decreases (treble crochet in UK terms).

The toadstool is crocheted from top to bottom. The scales are sewn onto the cap, but other than that, there is no sewing required to crochet your own mushroom.
