Ceramic Whisker Fatigue Cat Bowl: Hand-Glazed Cosmic Galaxy Dish, MTO

*What size bowl do you need? Measure the kitty's current bowl, determine if you need more space or less, and order the next size up or down. These hold less than a regular, store-bought bowl because the walls are lower to help your cat with whisker fatigue symptoms.

*These are specialized cat food "bowls" which are very low-walled, much like a plate with a slight curve.

This ceramic cat food dish is decorated in hand-glazed galaxy blue to black design with lower walls to alleviate the worst of whisker fatigue symptoms. Each piece has my hand-crafted "paw print of purrrrfection" on the outside of the bowl. The bottom of the bowl has a slight texture so that it will be less likely to move if placed on a mat.

Is your cat screaming at you with a bowl that's not empty, except maybe that middle part? Does Her (or His! Us cat folk know all cats are gods.) Majesty walk away from her bowl and immediately put her food back out into the world? This may be the bowl she's looking for to relieve what is known as whisker fatigue. Here's why: my design has a curved bowl interior instead of the raised sides mass manufacturers create their cat food bowls with. Smaller dog food bowls don't allow cat whiskers to fit into the curve so they cannot eat all the food in the dish without panicking. That panic causes them to eat too fast and then throw up. These can be more messy than a regular bowl however, the health benefits far outweigh the mess. You might find food pushed out of the bowl but it's not vomit on your furniture or carpeting. If vomiting persists after consistent use, there might be a deeper-rooted issue such as food insecurity.
