THE Beer Glass

It began as a Malty 2.0, but the glass had different plans. As I made glassware variations of our original Malty glass, the material wanted to move in different ways. As I began each attempt, a new and sexier design would pop in my head fully formed, almost as if the glass wanted me to try it. After a dozen or so attempts to see what the glass wanted me to see, I came across this design and fell in love. So I want to thank the glass itself for showing us this design and teaching my hands to make it.
Out of all the new designs and prototypes, this has been the one that I reached for first.

The glass lends it self to soooo many styles. Excelling at small to medium malty beers; be it APA, Amber, Dubbel, Reds, even fruited sours! It can do well with stouts and porters too, but I do prefer the Big Sexy (our imperial/dark beer snifter glass) for that.

The bulbous bottom of the glass offers a nice semi-sphere to hold, while the tight waist above offers an un-paralleled ergonomic experience. The soft tulip supports and maintains a great head while you enjoy the color of the beer. This is the style of tulip we have perfected and prefer for our own craft beer at our taproom in Knoxville, TN. When you have to pour several glasses of beer for friends, this soft tulip will make sure the head lasts...giving your friends, or yourself, a great presentation.

This glass is 6 1/4in tall with a 2 1/4in opening. It holds approximately 14 oz total volume, i.e. 12 oz of beer with 2 oz of head. *These glasses are handmade so dimensions/volume may vary a smidge.
