What shall I do to return a product?

INSPECT THE PRODUCT WITH CARE. When you receive a product, please inspect it in a way you would be allowed to in a physical shop - carefully so that you do not damage it. WRITE TO US WITHIN 14 DAYS OF RECEIVING THE PRODUCT. It does not matter if you received it personally or through a third party (for example a friend or a neighbour). SEND THE PRODUCT BACK TO US WITHIN 30 DAYS OF DELIVERY. Please, make sure you pack carefully to prevent it from damaging. Use the original packaging and return the labels as well. Keep proof that you have sent the item so that you can trace it and know when we have received it

Who pays for the shipping of returned items? How do I get refund for shipping I paid when ordering the item?

Customers pay for the shipping of returned items. If you have used the shipping methods we offer to receive the product from us, we will fully refund the shipping costs we paid to send you the item. If you have used a more expensive one than the standard one offered by us, you will bear the difference in cost between the two types of delivery.

How do I cancel an order?

If you wish to cancel a purchase, please write to us within 2 hours of payment. In this case we will be able to cancel. If you you were prevented to contact us within the set time limit, write to us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee after this time limit, but we will do our best.

Can I exchange an item I ordered?

We accept some exchanges, but we review each case separately. Write to us as soon as possible.

How do I track my package? What if I have given a wrong address?

TRACKING YOUR PACKAGE. We will provide you with a tracking number when we ship the item, so that you can follow your package online. WRONG ADDRESS. If you notice you have given us a wrong address, contact us as soon as possible to provide us with the correct one. If the product ships to a wrong/nonexistent address, the package will most likely eventually be returned to us, and in certain cases we might have to pay for the return postage. If you want us to send you the package again to another address, you need to pay shipping charges again OR place a new order if you do not want to wait for the original package to be returned to us.

Unclaimed mail. Lost delivery. Product damaged in shipping.

UNCLAIMED MAIL If you fail to receive the product, we will refund the price of the product once we receive it back, but we will not refund the shipping costs. LOST DELIVERY In case of lost delivery, we will send you a refund once the postal service provider confirms the loss. Please, contact us if you believe your order has been lost. PRODUCT DAMAGED IN SHIPPING If your item is damaged in shipping, please take clear photos of the item in damaged packaging and send them to us. We will discuss with you whether / how to send the item back, and we will send you refund.

When do I get the refund for an item I return?

We will send you refund once you send us proof that you have sent the items back. Please, keep this proof till you get the refund from us. We have to send it to you within 14 days of receiving your proof.

COULD PLAYING WITH A WOODEN TOY HYRAX BE INTERESTING?

You may not even have heard about it so far. A rock hyrax (dassie / rock rabbit) is sometimes confused with a rabbit, a rat or a guinea pig. Yet, this small animal is most closely related to the elephant and the manatee. Though many Europeans have never heard of it, this creature was mentioned several times in the Old Testament and is well-known in Africa. Some hyraxes have even moved to urban areas, where they are loved and protected by many people. Still, some people eat hyraxes, while others would like to have them as pets as they look so cuddly and funny.

Though always threatened by leopards, snakes, wild dogs (you might wish to check our African collection for these) and caracals, the rock hyrax is the happiest in the wild, climbing rocks and hiding in their crevices, basking in the sun to feel warm, and grazing.

A hyrax is not just a cute animal; it could be used to introduce children to the ideas of food chains and adaptations.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Do not soak in water. Wash each toy separately with soapy water with some vinegar. Rinse as quickly as possible. Immediately dry with a towel. Let air dry.
For disinfection you can use rubbing alcohol. We recommend spiritus aethylicus for medical purposes.
Do not put on or near heaters. Do not keep under direct sunshine for too long. Moisture and heat can cause warping and cracking in wood, so wooden products should not be exposed to these for too long.
When toys feel too dry, they need to be oiled and / or waxed. We recommend linseed oil and beeswax waxes. Other oils and waxes could be used too: mineral oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil. Vegans can use carnauba wax instead of beeswax.
