Are the rocks natural, treated or man made?

All of our rocks are natural made by nature except for one rock, Carborundum, that is lab grown man made. We also disclosure in the listing descriptions any and all treatments such as dyed, cut & polished, acid-washed, heat treated, etc. If the listing does not state it is treated, then it is exactly as it came out of the ground.

What is Kidz Rocks return policy?

Return policy? We do not have one. Just message us for a refund and you keep the rock! Your satisfaction is more important to us than the money. If you purchased a large order or an expensive rock we may decide to send you a pre-paid return shipping label to send the rocks back.

What about discounts?

Buy 5 or more of ANY of our products and receive a 30% discount on your entire order. Buy 5 or more of the same rock, 1 each of 5 different rocks, mix and match as desired. The shopping cart automatically applies the discount as you add products to your cart. Also, we never change more than $10.30 for shipping no matter how many rocks are on your order! We pay the extra shipping costs when needed.

Do the rock colors in the photos match the actual colors in the rock?

When you buy from Kidz Rocks, what you see IS what you get! We not only use high quality cameras and 4500 color temperature bulbs but we also use the only bulbs available rated 100 CRI (Color Rendering Index), made by Solux, which is a measure of the ability of a light source to reveal the colors faithfully, when compared with a natural light source.

Do the rocks come with mineral information cards?

Every shipment has a flyer inside with instructions on how to go to our online comprehensive library of information about each rock we sell. Where it is found, healing properties, mineral properties, what we do with it, interesting facts and so much more. Who is Kidz Rocks and how long have you been in business?

Kidz Rocks® was founded in 2009. We opened our website store in 2009, our Ebay stores in 2015, our Etsy shops in 2016 and our Amazon store in 2020. Kidz Rocks was started by Alan and his 11 year old grandson, Jaidon. Jaidon serves with the honorary title of Vice President of Mining! His affectionate nickname is "Whiny Miner" as sometimes when we go out mining he is very disappointed with the days mining haul!

Spessartine is member of the Garnet group, and is known for its aesthetic orange and reddish-orange colors. Spessartine is a nesosilicate, manganese aluminium garnet species, Mn2+3Al2(SiO4)3. This form of Garnet was once much rarer, but new abundant finds in Tanzania, China, and Pakistan have really put Spessartine on the map. Spessartine's name is a derivative of Spessart in Bavaria, Germany, the type locality of the mineral. It occurs most often in granite pegmatite and allied rock types and in certain low-grade metamorphic phyllites.
