A: Absolutely not. I am the original designer who invented this simple metal stand and built the first units in the early 1990s. (don't be fooled by copycats!).

THE STORY: I designed this minimalist sloping stand more than 30 years ago to organize my magazine collections while living in a small apartment. The simple no-frills shape was optimized for form, function and weight distribution and it epitomizes my beliefs of simplicity in design. Using a single piece of flat steel and two bends I created a seemingly impossible iconic metal sculpture that evokes Simplicity and Lightness. I latter added new sizes and today offer the same sloping design to store all flat media formats such as CD, DVD, Video Games, Books, Magazines, Folders and Vinyl Records. Available in two popular neutral colors to fit all styles of décor; black or white.
