My name is Natalia and I'm Ukrainian Pysanky Master Artist with more than 20 years of experience. All pysanky here in my shop are made by me. If you have any questions, please, don't hesitate to ask, will be very happy to answer you!

The word pysanka comes from Ukrainian word pysaty (to write in English), because they aren’t painted on, but written with beeswax. All of the pysanky have been emptied out, washed out and thermally processed.

This Ukrainian carved pysanka with traditional old symbols is made on araucana chicken egg, its name derives from the Araucanía region of Chile where it is believed to have originated. It lays blue-shelled eggs, one of very few breeds that do so.

Briefly about the technology:
Step 1. I draw with the pencil, then with wax as usual eggs.
Step 2. Then put the egg in acid: the process of etching.
Step 3. After this I make holes according to the design with mini drill.

Pysanka comes carefully packaged in beautiful wooden gift box and wooden stand, so don’t worry about shipment.
