This pattern tells you how to crochet and dip-dye a pair of crochet tassel earrings it can also be used to accessorise other products, such as crochet shawls, bralettes, bags and bunting. It is written in with both English and American crochet terms and includes diagrams. It also has step by step photographs on tassel prep, crochet and dip-dying.
Difficulty level: the easy side of intermediate.
You will need:
- gauge 20 crochet cotton or embroidery floss (it has to be 100% cotton if you want to dye the thread)
- 1mm - 1.25 crochet hook
- needle
- scrap card 15cm in length
- a good sharp pair of scissors
- optional - 2 small bulldog/ binder clips
- small jewellery pliers
- 4 small jump rings
- 2 hook ear wires
For dyeing:
- colourfast fabric dye
- pencil or stick
- salt
- washable glasses/container
- paintbrush
- wipes and table covering
