This set of six free standing lace snowflake machine embroidery designs is based on the traditional French Fleur de Lis that was used long ago as an emblem by the French royal family. The Fleur de Lis, now a symbol of luxury and elegance, is often used in home decoration, bone china and fine art. The emblem is also used as an icon by states in the South of the USA as a lasting reminder of their historical connection to France.

These snowflakes will make a beautiful luxurious addition to your Christmas decor, whether you hang them on your Christmas tree, on garlands, or in your windows to welcome visitors.

Like real snowflakes, each snowflake embroidery design has a symmetry of 6, and each one is unique, although they are all obviously related. Each design fits the 4 x 4 inch (100 mm x 100 mm) embroidery hoop.

Never sewn free standing lace (FSL) embroidery designs before? Don't worry - the licence and thread chart document included with the files contains helpful information about sewing FSL designs.

The zip file contains the designs in PES, EXP, JEF, HUS, DST and VP3 format. If your format is not listed, please ask. I can convert to most formats apart from ART which is proprietary to Bernina digitizing software, but some 4x4 designs cannot be converted to SEW format as they will not fit the hoop for that particular machine.

PLEASE NOTE: you will need an embroidery machine to use these designs. You will also need Adobe Reader or some other PDF reading software to open the information file supplied with the designs.
