Instructions were good, my husband put it together rather easily. Will suggest that there could be a few improvements, BIG one is the optional slat materials should be listed on the front with the rest of the material list (we had to make a second trip out of town back to the store to get more wood because of this being on the last page), second the middle support for the back doesn’t appear in the instructions, until it magically appears in the photo for the slats instructions (but no mention of where it goes etc so now we need to take the bed apart and add this), and third there is a typo on the slat page where it states place two on the edge and then the 3* others but there are 4* middle slats.

Easy enough to follow! We did use screws instead of finishing nails because we have kids who climb everything. I love how it turned out though and the dimensions were perfect for a regular twin mattress.
