8 neon / fluorescent watercolors in individual pans – half pans (1.6x1.4x0.9 cm/~2,2ml) or full pans (3x1.8x0.9 cm/~5ml)

We are pleased to present our first set of fluorescent colors, made with Kremer thermoset pigments:

Flama Néon (fluorescent flame red),
Dark Orange Néon,
Light Orange Néon,
Yellow Néon,
Green Néon,
Atol Néon (fluorecent blue),
Grape Néon (fluorescent violet), and
Magenta Néon.

These handmade watercolors are purchased individually (half pans or full pans) or in a set of 8 colors, inside a customized wooden box (look for it in another listing). All pans are individually wrapped in silver paper which, in some cases are coated with wax to prevent them from being stuck to the paper at the time of unpacking. All pans have a magnet glued to their base to attached them to metallic boxes, if needed, without moving around.

In the manufacturing of these handmade watercolors, I use my own binder consisting of distilled water, gum arabic, glycerine and some drops of clove oil as fungicide. Each pan is poured, then dried, and the process repeated two or three times until full and ready to go to packaging. The process takes about two to three weeks for each pan.

In terms of lightfastness, fluorescent pigments are more fugitive than conventional pigments, so you should avoid exposing them to direct sun light.

Please remember that handmade watercolors may contain air bubbles or air pockets inside. This does NOT affect the quality of the paint. To compensate this possibility, we overfill and pillow top our watercolors.
