DESCRIPTION OF THE FINISHED ITEM

These plans enable you to make this simple stylish storage chest for home storage. The finished unit is about 40” wide, 20” deep and 20” tall. I made this from re-cycled materials including laminate flooring for the side panels to give a contrasting effect. Because I used re-cycled material I went for a painted finish, but if using hardwood a natural finish may be better.

This project is aimed at the home woodworker and you will need to be able to cut your own lumber to size, cut rebates and do some simple dowel joinery. These plans are not a tutorial on how to do these things and it is assumed you already have these basic skills (that a DIYer and / or woodworker would have).
