Ever want to learn how to weave with fine-gauge wire? Well, here is your chance! Make this chic woven wire cuff, learning how to make a frame base and then weave. Copper, sterling silver or craft wire - they all look great with this design!
The tutorial explains how to make the cuff to your desired size.
The tutorial is written with step-by-step instructions and color pictures.
Materials you will need to make this cuff:
• 23" 14-gauge dead soft wire
• 23-25' 26-gauge dead soft wire
PLEASE NOTE: The heavy gauge wire is for the frame of the cuff. 16-, 14-, or 12-gauge wire can be used. 16-gauge will be a flexible frame, with 12-gauge being a rigid frame. My preference is 14-gauge wire.
Tools Needed:
• Flush cutters
• Round nose pliers
• Chain nose pliers
• Wire straightening pliers
• Ruler
• Sharpie
• Bracelet mandrel (optional)
Like any jewelry skills we learn, working with fine gauge wire is a learned skill. Here is some helpful info for you:
If a loop forms as the wire is pulled through the frames, it will get smaller and smaller until a kink forms. To remedy this, uncurl and straighten the wire as soon as a loop begins to form which can be done with your fingers. Also, when pulling the wire through your fingers, don't tightly squeeze the wire or run your fingernails along the wire as it can curl the wire. Pull wire with the pads of your fingers with gentle pressure to avoid curling.

I really enjoyed making this bracelet! For the most part, the instructions are easy to follow...however, there are a couple of parts that are really small; and the section on adding wire was a bit unclear, to me. Otherwise, the bracelet is beautiful and great for a beginner.
Response from Jodi Bombardier
Hi Gwendolyn, I apologize for anything that wasn't clear in my instructions. If you tell me what you found unclear, I could possibly assist you and make the instructions clearer. Thanks, Jodi
